Pale to mid straw with a subtle hint of apricot

Aroma

The bouquet is dominated by the intoxicating perfume of Jasmine and Primrose blossoms with pears, apples and ginger.

Palate

Fresh Nashi pears follow onto the palate with green apples and citrus zest giving a lively, refreshing palate weight with a mineral steeliness and long clean finish. It’s crisp, dry and elegant with sensuous tropical fruit, lychees and herbal flavours adding character and life.

Food Matching

This wine is ideal with all seafood and white meat dishes served with leafy garden salads. Serve cool but not too cold, approx 6-8 degrees and savour the refreshing lift.

Cellaring Potential

This wine is ideal drinking now and will continue to provide fresh crisp drinking well into 2013. Beyond 2013 it will soften, become broader on the palate and the flavours will become increasingly mellow. It has a screw cap closure to guarantee quality and long slow maturation.

He was a man of boundless enthusiasm and genuine integrity. Arrowsmith wines reflect these characteristics with big, solid characteristics that are reliable and long lasting. Pinot Gris is fast emerging as an exciting new aromatic variety that produces lively fresh wines. I’ve added a touch of early picked Semillon to give extra citrus tang on the finish. Enjoy this wine on any occasion.
