Tasting Notes

Verdelho was night harvested from the estate with grapes sourced for this blend comprising 40% old block and 60% young block. A portion was pressed directly into 2 year old French Barriques for wild fermentation, the balance being fermented in stainless steel tank at cool temperatures to retain freshness and varietal intensity. The wine was fermented to dryness prior to blending, stabilisation and filtering. The blend includes an oak portion for richness and complexity, Chardonnay for palate weight and Sauvignon Blanc for lifted aromatic intensity and acid length. A serious yet classic style of Verdelho to capture the cool climate elegance that this variety can deliver.
