This premium Sauvignon Blanc is a single-vineyard wine sourced from our own sustainably managed vineyard at “Cravens Road” in Marlborough’s famous Wairau Valley. The wine has a wonderful mineral centre surrounded by layers of complexity from the wild fermentation. Subtle use of seasoned French oak casks on a portion of the blend has added further weight and complexity.
Aromas of nettle and tomato leaf are softened by subtle tropical notes. PalateThe palate has a wonderful mineral centre surrounded by layers of complexity from the wild fermentation. It finishes with a crisp fresh snap.Winemaking NoteThe Sauvignon Blanc is fermented slightly warmer than our other wines with a small percentage of the juice going through a wild fermentation. This gives a more European influence to the wine and promotes greater complexity. After fermentation great care is taken in the blending of the different parcels so that no single attribute dominates.
