How do I purchase an extended warranty?

Are all products eligible for Extended warranty?

To be eligible for Cover the Product must:
• Be new or refurbished White Goods which includes but is not limited to; Air Conditioners, Dryers, Refrigerators, Heaters, Microwave Ovens, Vacuum Cleaners, Cooktops, Ovens, Rangehoods, Dishwashers or Washing Machines.
• Be new or refurbished Computers, Home Electronics or Household Appliances which includes but is not limited to; Appliances: Small Kitchen Appliances, Audio Equipment, Consoles and DVD Players; Computers: Laptops, Desktops and Tablets; Digital Imaging: Digital Cameras, Digital Camcorders; GPS: GPS Navigational Systems; LCD TV: LCD or LED Televisions; Mobiles: Mobile Phones; and Plasma TV: Plasma Televisions
• Have been purchased on ‘GraysOnline.com’ or ‘GraysOutlet.com’ within 30 days of the Insurance Application Date;
• Have either a 3, 12 or 24 month Manufacturer warranty or Grays warranty;
• Be for Australian domestic use only; and
• Not to exceed the retail price as indicated below:

What does my extended warranty provide?

Your extended warranty will provide you with the following:
• Mechanical & electrical breakdown protection
• Power surge protection
• Fair wear and tear protection
• Food spoilage benefit

• No lemon guarantee protection
• Overseas protection for portable items
Additionally you will receive a full refund for products under $400, free assessment, free freight costs and choice of coverage period with a reputable provider.

Can I purchase an extended warranty after my product purchase?

Yes, at Grays Online extended warranty protection can be bought up to 30 days after your initial purchase.

What happens when I make a claim?

To make a claim contact the claims administrator on 1800 505 058 from Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)
You'll find completing your claim quicker if you have the following details at hand before you begin:
• Your receipt
• The make, model and serial number of your item
• The date you first realised your item failed
• Your residential address at the date of purchase

Has Your extended warranty period begun?

It's important to check the date on your extended warranty to ensure the cover has begun. If the item is still covered under the manufacturer's or Grays warranty period, you will need to contact the manufacturer/Grays directly.

Troubleshooting

Before lodging a claim, it's always worthwhile checking the user manual of your item or visiting the manufacturer's website. You may find there's a quick and easy fix for your item.

Back up your data

We recommend you back up all data from data storage devices such as computers, tablets and mobile phones on a regular basis as your data may be lost as the result of a mechanical or electrical breakdown or subsequent repair.

What if my product can't be repaired?

The product will automatically be replaced or a refund will be provided up to the value of the original purchase price.

Do I need proof of purchase to make a claim on my extended warranty?

Yes, please retain proof of purchase such as receipts and your policy schedule we send to you.

How do I redeem or cancel my warranty?

You can cancel this policy at any time by advising us in writing at P.O Box 246, Balwyn VIC 3103. You will be charged a cancellation fee of $55. No premium will be refunded if you have made a claim on the policy. We will also retain a pro-rata amount of the premium for the time the cover has been provided.

I was not the original purchaser of the product; can I claim on the extended warranty?

Only if the original purchaser has transferred ownership of the extended warranty to you within 7 days of selling the product to you and the transfer fee has been paid.

Does the warranty cover commercial use?

No. The extended warranty explicitly excludes commercial use of the product.
