"The wine is sourced from well-established vines planted in 1969 in soil of deep sand over weathered sandstone bedrock. The vineyard’s relatively poor soil nutrients make the vines struggle and therefore produce small bunches of berries with concentrated flavours of blackberry, mint and lavender – ideal for producing exceptional quality Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine was fermented over 12 days and then matured for 16 months in French Oak barriques, integrating the berry fruit characters with a tight tannin structure."
