Acclaimed winemaker Kate Radburnd uses this discerning knowledge to create a unique range of wines with the finest fruit from New Zealands greatest regions to match her vision.
This Pinot Noir is silky and seductive. Dark cherries and red fruits are supported by subtle sweet oak. Drink now or age gracefully for two to five years.
Vintage
The season started off very cool with some vineyards having up to 13 nights where the temperature dropped below 1°C. However with warm weather in November and December relatively good fruit set (for Martinborough) occurred over all blocks. This resulted in some of the premium Pinot Noir blocks needing to be thinned to reduce the risk of over cropping. Warm temperatures and generally low rainfall (apart from February (132 mm)) over the remainder of the season (veraison to harvest) ensured good quality grapes and wine at targeted yields.
