At the turn of the century, Benjamin George Lee Killerby established general stores in the South West of Western Australia to supply the early pioneers. In this fine tradition, the founder's grandson, Dr. Benjamin Barry Killerby, established one of the region's first vineyards at Capel in 1973. To this day, the vineyards are owned and operated by the Killerby Family - provedores since 1912.
Medium to full red-purple; the bouquet is concentrated, with spice, black cherry and a hint of gaminess. A solid, chunky wine on the palate with lots of dark fruits, and slightly grippy tannins needing to soften.
