Tasting Notes

A rich, red cool climate of the Hilltops District near Young in New South Wales produce fine wines of distinction and elegance.

Adequate spring rain and mild to warm ripening conditions during the 2000 vintage resulted in a complex, full flavoured fruit. This rich, robust wine displays, lifted rhubarb and prune fruit supported by spicy cinnamon oak characters. Blackberry conserve and stewed rhubarb fruit flavours fuse on the palate against a background of spicy oak and a firm tannin structure. Match this flavoursome wine with rich dishes such as cherry and balsamic glazed roasted duck with sweet potatoes.
