McLaren Vale is generally reknowned for its shiraz, but Tatachilla, year in, year out make a really impressive cabernet.
Colour
Deep red in colour with crimson hues.
Aroma
A lifted, no holes barred aroma of ripe, squishy blackberries and mulberries served with a liberal dose of coconut ice and pencil shavings, there is a hint of licorice and coffee that may become more apparent with age.
Palate
Soft and sumptuous in the mouth, this is a friendly wine that has excellent front and mid palate fruit sweetness tapering into forest fruits, graphite and generous oak. Plenty to keep both the serious imbiber and the casual palate pleased. A finish of good persistence with very soft, finely grained tannins.
