Made from Sauvignon grapes grown on calcareous soil, the wine shows a sharp and lively at front palate, the nose is floral and fruity notes reminiscent of citrus (grapefruit), green apple.
Aroma/Palate
Domaine Thomas is run by the ninth generation of the family. Jean and his wife Ginette own 13 hectares at Verdigny, mostly planted to Sauvignon blanc. This is Sancerre at its flinty, minerally, racy best. Very clean, fresh and flavoursome wine at a moderate 12.5% alcohol. This is as all Sancerre should be - absolutely no oak.
