These Assets are Used and therefore inspection is highly Recommended Prior to Bidding. Description & Photographs should be used as a Guide Only.


Assets in this sale have been categorised as “A” type assets – for removal by the Buyers or “B” type assets – for removal by preferred or approved contractors on behalf of the Buyer. Asset packaging and removal of “A” type assets are the purchaser’s responsibility, and is to be done in the time frame specified for this sale. Goods not collected within this time frame will be deemed abandoned.

Invoice totals exceeding $5000 must be paid by direct deposit.


A Buyers Premium of 13.5% + 10% GST applies to lots purchased in this auction.

ie Successful Bid Price is $100 + 13.5% Buyers Premium + 10% GST = Invoice Total of $124.85

Product Condition - Please refer to the individual lot description for product condition. Most lots have pictures assigned to them. These should be taken as a guide only.

Payment - Invoice totals exceeding $5000 must be paid by direct deposit within 2 days of auction closing. Payment for invoices exceeding $5000 may also be made onsite via bank cheque. Contact accounts@grays.com.au for an exact invoice total. Please note that personal or company cheques will not be accepted. For invoices totalling less than $5000, your credit card will be debited within 2 days of auction closing. To assist in the processing of payments please have funds available. Invoice totals exceeding $5000 will not be split.

GraysOnline are authorised to deduct up to $5000 from the purchasers credit card as a holding deposit on any items sold for over $5000 via our website.

Typically, auctions end at the closing time posted. There are some exceptions to this, however. If there are any bids on a particular lot within 10 minutes* of the auction closing time ("Going, Going, Gone!" period), it will be extended until there are no bids for 10 continuous minutes*.

There is no limit to the number of times an online auction can be extended. This makes graysonline work more like a live auction where the bidding does not stop as long as there is still interest in the product, rather than assigning an arbitrary cut-off time. To ensure that you do not get outbid make sure you monitor the auction until you have won the item or enter a bid that you think will win!

GraysOnline advises all buyers that all plant offered for sale at auction may not be fit for use in a workplace. It is the buyers/owners responsibility to ensure that an operational risk assessment is undertaken, prior to use, and the plant be brought to a condition which complies with relevant State Legislation, Regulations and applicable Codes of Practice. GraysOnline will provide:

  • Safety information relating to the condition of the item of plant for sale (Plant Hazard Reports)
  • Site Access, PPE and Removal of Plant requirements are listed under the Inspection and Collection Headings.

Please note:

  • Persons under the age of 15 years will not be permitted onsite.
  • Tradespeople eg; electricians, plumbers etc will be required to produce the relevant licence before commencing work on site.
  • Riggers, Forklift and Crane Drivers etc will be required to produce the relevant license before commencing work on site.
  • It is a condition of entry to site that all visitors comply with any directions given by Graysonline SA Pty Ltd staff or their representatives.
  • Work carried out on this site must be completed in a manner compliant with all Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
  • All power tools and equipment used on this site must be tested (tagged) safe for use in accordance with AS3760 service testing and inspection of electrical equipment.
  • Graysonline SA Pty Ltd will specify, based on the hazards present on the site, the mandatory personal protective equipment required to be worn prior to approval being given for entry to the site. (eg; safety footwear, safety eyewear, hard hats etc)
  • The use of certified equipment, harnesses, work platforms etc will be required for any work carried out above 1.8metres.



Special entry conditions apply for this site. All interested parties will need to “sign in” at the Security Gate and be appropriately attired with enclosed, flat soled shoes i.e. no heels, open toe, thongs etc. Persons under the age of 15 years of age will not be permitted on site.

Inspection of assets can be made at the following times:

Tuesday 11 December from 9am to 3pm. All people attending the site must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Please read this overview carefully for details.

Once you have signed in you will receive a visitor’s pass and vest for entry to the site.

Entry to the site is at the visitors risk therefore, please ensure you stay within the designated areas at all times. If you deviate from this area you will be escorted from the site immediately.

A GraysOnline Supervisor will be available to answer your questions regarding the equipment in the Event Area. If you have any queries in relation to the website or how to bid please email customerservice@grays.com.au

Once you have completed your inspection please proceed along the designated path back to the Security Gate. You must “sign out” and return your vest to the security guard.

Inspection of the assets is highly recommended. Bids on assets in this sale should be made based on your inspection and assessment of the goods.

The pick up address for “A” type assets is 320 Churchill Road, Kilburn, South Australia. Pick ups are not allowed outside the dates/ times listed below.

Pick up can only be made once cleared funds are received. Purchasers cannot pick up until full invoice is paid. Goods can only be released with the correct information being supplied which includes Sale number, Lot number/s and Buyers name.

Any items remaining uncollected after the nominated collection times will be deemed abandoned.

Assets must be collected on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 December between 9am and 3pm.

Buyers are reminded of their responsibilities to ensure that vehicles used for assets collection are roadworthy and compliant with the vehicle mass, dimensions and load restraint requirements of the Road Traffic Act (1961). To collect your purchases please attend the collection addresses during the times advised with a copy of your winner’s e-mail and photo ID. A copy of your invoice will be on site with GraysOnline staff to assist in documenting the removal process. If you intend to send a third party to collect goods on your behalf, you need to send them a copy of your winner’s e-mail along with a photocopy of Driver/ 3rd party pick up photo ID and signed note of authority permitting GraysOnline staff to release your purchases to the third party.

Important Information: Please note it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the safe removal of their lots. Provide suitably qualified personnel to removal their lots. Some lots may be electrically hard wired or attached to services such as air, water, gas or oil may still be connected. Occupational Health and Safety regulations apply to this site. To ensure that safe and successful removal of assets from this site, GraysOnline will be utilising a preferred contractor model for this sale.


GraysOnline have preselected preferred contractor for the removal of “B” type assets on behalf and at the cost to the Buyers. The contractor has been selected based on their ability to undertake the work specified in an efficient, safe and cost effective manner. A competitive quote has been provided for all “B” type assets in this sale to the requirements of the Scope of Works (SOW). Removal prices will be listed in the catalogue. If listed these prices will be automatically included on the buyers invoice and payment will be deducted. At a minimum, contractors will label for identification, dismantle and have your assets ready for a “straight lift” by a forklift or light crane onto your preferred transport company’s vehicle.

If you are considering the use of an external contractor please read the SOW carefully. Contractors must comply with the SOW which will be available here shortly.

It will be the buyer’s responsibility to engage a suitable transport company to collect the assets when available.

The removal of “B” type assets for this sale must be collected on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 December, 2012. Please refer the scope of works for specific removal information. If you have special requirements please contact GraysOnline at stan.bondarenko@grays.com.au

Once the asset has been paid in full, the transaction between Graysonline and the Buyer is deemed complete. There will be no recourse with Graysonline beyond this time.

The Buyer on payment of the invoice will be deemed to have engaged the removal contractor to accept and load their asset/s.Therefore we encourage the Buyer to participate in all stages of the project including inspection, loading of the asset and discussions with the contractor about their specific requirements. We also recommend the buyer review insurances over their purchased asset/s.
