Our Côtes du Rhône takes its name from the 45th North parallel which runs two kilometres from our cellars. In the village of Pont de l’Isère, a monument symbolises this line with an inscription: “Here begins the South”. Our wine has had this name since the beginning of the 1950’s.

Grape Varieties

50% Grenache ; 40% Cinsault ; 10% Syrah.

Colour

Deep colour with an attractive brilliance.

Aroma

Elegant and aromatic, with red fruits blended with spices.

Palate

Well-structured on rounded tannins, with a final spicy note.

Winemaking Notes

“Vin de saignée” resulting from a short maceration, and a long fermentation under controlled temperatures.

For nearly two centuries, Jaboulet has been producing wines that represent generations of hard work and a passion for excellence.

Founded in 1834, Paul Jaboulet Aine own 100 hectares of the best vineyards in the Rhône Valley, planted to the traditional Rhône varieties including Syrah, Grenache, Viognier, Marsanne and Rousanne. The house is committed to using sustainable agricultural practices and improving their vineyards and currently has ISO 9001 and 14001 certification pending and why it is using sustainable agriculture.

One of the most famous names in the world of wine, Jaboulet is the home of what is regarded by many as one of the world’s greatest wines, the legendary Hermitage La Chapelle which was included in the Wine Spectator’s “Top Twelve Wines of the Last Century”.
