The fruit for this wine comes from two vineyards near Balhannah and one at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills was picked in early March before destemming, crushing and pressing at Petaluma's winery in Piccadilly. Aroma

Petaluma White Label Sauvignon Blanc displays wonderful fruit intensity, with fresh exotic aromatics. A faint herbal note combines with warm hay and cut grass.

Palate

The palate is rich and full with lovely texture and tropical fruit, and finishes with crisp vibrant acidity.

Winemaker Andrew Hardy

Andrew began with Petaluma in 1982, working and studying his wayup through the ranks as cellar hand, trainee winemaker and finally leadwinemaker. Successfully interweaving practical, ‘in the vineyard’ workwith university studies, Andrew completed his Bachelor of Appl. Sci(Wine Science) at University of Adelaide in 1990. Nominated in August1999 as a finalist in AGT Wine Magazine's Winemaker of the Year award, Andrew is highly respected for his effortless winemaking style,restrained hand in the winery and engaging manner.
