Eco Fat Plug Bait 13cm 37g Yellow/Red Mackerel

Diving lures, while generally of the floating variety, can also be sinking lures. Either way, they incorporate a plastic or metal vane to create a diving action and are used in lure fishing for all predatory fish such as Bass, Pike, Perch, Zander, Salmon and Trout. Diving lures allow the angler to search different levels of the water and will mimic the erratic action of a predator's prey fish. Essentially, the diving lure (if a floating variety) will float and then dive down when retrieved. The depth of the dive will depend on the length and speed of the retrieve and when the retrieve is stopped, the lure will float back towards the surface. The lure can be allowed to float right to the surface again or just allowed to rise sufficiently to work the lure over underwater structure or weed making them extremely versatile lures.
