Wine Summary Image

This is the second vintage of Chanterives, a negociant-vinificateur as one half of the team behind it, Tomoko Kuriyama, explained, “We work with the raw materials, grapes, crafting wines from the beginning compared to those who work with must or finished wine”.

The other half of the winemaking team is Guillaume Bott who has made wine at Etienne Sauzet and at Domaine Simon Bize where he has earned admiration for his excellent work. During harvest he continues at Bize while the dedicated Tomoko is in daily charge of Chanterives’ operations. Tomoko too is a highly regarded Oenologist who has made award winning Pinot Noir in Germany.

Pale crimson. Attractively earthy nose and great purity of fruit. I do like this vintage too! Lots of substance. Lovely finish. Great stuff!
