Made to the same exacting standards at the Vat 47 flagship, this baby sibling is nevertheless looser knit across a breezy sway of vanilla pod oak, nougatine and peachy fruit flavours, with some truffled lees work providing mineral tension. Fully flavoured and ready to roll.

Winery Tasting Notes

Textbook modern, medium-bodied Hunter Valley Chardonnay to be enjoyed with a variety of cuisines. The nose shows a great mixture of citrus, white stone fruit, some oak spice as well as just a hint of solids complexity. The palate is robust with great fruit intensity and texture through the mid-palate, with a soft acid finish.

English immigrant Edward Tyrrell established Tyrrell's Wines in 1858 in the lee of the Hunter Valley's Brokenback Range, New South Wales. This land has become recognised as home to some of the Hunter Valley regions finest vineyards, and the basis for development of one of Australia's most successful privately owned wine companies.

Today, Tyrrell's are a truly national wine company, premium vineyards extend from their legendary home in the Hunter Valley to other distinguished grape growing regions of Australia including McLaren Vale in South Australia and Heathcote in Victoria.

Fourth generation family member and Managing Director, Bruce Tyrrell heads this winemaking company that boasts well established, popular and highly recognisable wine brands that are exported to over 30 countries worldwide.
