There are vineyards as far as the eye can see, from the inland mountains to the plains of the Mediterranean coast. Here, wine growers lead a care-free life as they harvest their grapes in the soft evening sun. They get enormous satisfaction from the work of their hands and are enamoured with the fruit of their labour – their sparkling cava. The three characteristic areas of the Penedès region (Penedès Superior, Penedès Central and Penedès Marítim) vary greatly in terms of microclimate and soil composition. They thus each produce grapes with a unique character and it is this which makes Gran Barón cavas so exquisite.

With the generosity of Great Barons, the proud Catalan wine growers delight in sharing the result of their craft with others. This is why their sparkling wines bear the motto ‘para compartir’, which means ‘for sharing’ in Spanish.
