Colour

The amazingly vivid pink/purple colour is the first hint at something special.

Aroma

The quality of the dry grown bush vine Grenache shines through on the aroma with lifted raspberry, perfume, black cherry and hints of liquorice and pepper.

Palate

The palate is a chef's delight with a wonderful food friendly structure. Velvet smooth, fine subtle tannins line the tongue with plenty of flavour and good acidity filling out the mouth.

Food Matching

This is a serious rose which will complement an array of savoury meat dishes and Asian spice.

As a leading personality in the emerging Australian wine industry, Geoff also established a high profile internationally, most recently as consulting winemaker in Italy making wines for the UK market and as a respected judge at Australian and International wine shows.

Geoff Merrill's wines have been successful at Australian and International wine shows, including the coveted Jimmy Watson Trophy at the 2005 Melbourne wine show. Since 1980 Geoff Merrill Wines have won 29 Trophies, 143 Gold , 373 Silver and 1181 Bronze medals.
