Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

A deep inky black-red in with bright crimson hues.

Aroma

The depth of colour heralds a nose lush with aromas of dark forest fruits and hints of exotic far eastern spice.

Palate

Layers of vanilla and cedar add complexity to a rich palate of ripe dark cherries, exotic forest fruits and complex earthy notes with a hint of cracked white pepper. Soft fine tannins created by the mix of both French and American oak add gorgeous layers of vanilla bean and spice with just a hint of flinty gun smoke adding to the sublime complex finish.

Howling Wolves wines are made exclusively amongst the vineyards and glorious, soft rolling hills of Willyabrup, Cowaramup, in the premium Western Australian wine region of Margaret River some 300 kilometres south of the capital, Perth. (And if you think that's a mouthful wait until you experience the fabulous fruit driven flavour!) The winery is located on 17 picturesque hectares and employs world leading, state-of-the-art technology alongside time-honoured and traditional winemaking skills.

The exceptional winemaking skills at the state-of-the-art Willyabrup winery are focused on carefully vintnering a premium range of premium red and white wines, showcasing the regions renowned varietal strengths.
