Wine Summary Image

Lana is produced and sold by Carlo, Joel and Natalie Pizzini. The wines are all made from fruit grown in the King Valley in Victoria’s High Country, a region known for the production of quality, modern Italian wine styles.

It was a difficult vintage for the King Valley. The constant rain throughout the growing season caused high disease pressures in the vineyard. Knowing that the King Valley was going to experience a wet vintage in 2011 we managed our crop levels to average two tons per acre to help grapes physically mature earlier than if we were experiencing a usual vintage.

Pale straw with olive green hue.

Aroma

Lemon zest and spices with earthy and funky notes developing as the wine opens in the glass.

Palate

Round and soft with lingering, lemony acidity. The wine has lovely weight and texture.
