Thomson Estate `Private Selection` Shiraz 2014: Ripe strawberry and blackberry fruits are harmoniously supported by cedar spice and vanillin oak characters. This Private Selection Shiraz is medium to full-bodied and richly flavoured with berry fruits.

P Jorgensen `Ltd Release Vat 310` Black Shiraz 2014: Vintage 2014 in McLaren Vale was dry and produced Shiraz with big up front fruit character and massive alcohol which brings the oak esters to the fore. The bouquet is lifted with sweet brandy soaked fruit and cedar wood shavings. With a little breathing the more savoury elements of black olives and smoked bacon add to the complexity. The palate is drier than the bouquet suggests with earthy, smoky characters on the opening palate. The middle shows some aniseed spice with powdery, fine grained tannins giving grip and texture. Oak is well integrated with a hint of coffee and mocha on the back palate. The finish is long and persistent with a nice dry edge.

Range Valley Estate `Reserve Selection` Shiraz 2014: The bouquet displays aromas of lifted spicy fruit with a hint of oak. The palate is medium bodied with a soft texture and nice length of flavour.

Mount Frankland Shiraz 2013: Aromas of ripe plum, blueberry’s with hints of white pepper. Flavours of black cherry, juicy plums and layers of dark chocolate with chewy ripe tannins

Partalunga Vineyard Shiraz 2011 A medium bodied Shiraz showing layers of dark plums, pepper and spice with fine grained tannins. A real down to earth style!

Peter Lehmann `Wildcard` Shiraz 2012 Hints of dark plum and chocolate on the nose. A fruit driven palate with a soft tannin finish.
