Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

Pale straw green

Aroma

Aromas of fresh cut peach flesh with accents of wild honey and hints of lemon myrtle. These are supported by fig and cinnamon spice complexities with wild fermentation.

Palate

Layers of flavour build across the medium bodied palate, and reflect not only the fruit but the use of wild fermentation and ageing on yeast lees. On the palate the slightest hint of oak comes through as a hint of cinnamon and spice, highlighting the complexity derived from barrel matured reserve wine. Balanced acidity gives the wine thrust through to the refreshing finish.

Food Match

Deliciously accompanies gnocchi with sautéed broad beans, feta, lemon and sage.

Oxford Landing Estates was established in 1958 on the banks of the mighty Murray River in South Australia amidst bountiful sunshine, vivid blue skies and plenty of red Riverland soil.

From planting vines to making wines, Oxford Landing Estates takes great pride in their people – some having spent their whole life on the Murray. They are part of a community who are unashamedly passionate about the vineyards, grapes and working together to ensure the wine going into the bottle is what they envisaged.
