Wine Summary Image

An incredibly mild summer with above average rainfall ensured slow, even ripening of the fruit. To preserve delicate fruit flavours, the fruit was harvested in the cool of the night and delivered in small batches to the winery. The grapes were crushed, yeasted and pumped over in traditional style to avoid the extraction of bitter tannins. Thereafter, the wine underwent cool fermentation to maintain a fruit driven style with select parcels receiving French and American oak maturation to add complexity and structure.

Winery Tasting Notes

Deep crimson with youthful purple hues. Lifted ripe berry fruit aromas with hints of earth, spice and toasty oak. Smooth palate of sweet berry fruit with layers of dark chocolate and mocha, silky tannin and well integrated oak.

Perfect partner with red meat dishes.
