Wine Summary Image

Pinot Noir is the ultimate test of patience and timing. It requires exact balancing of slowly ripened fruit flavour and natural acidity framed with silky oak tannins. That’s always our goal with our Pinot. Try it with duck, cured meat or perhaps even a rabbit pie! The grapes for this Pinot Noir come from two clones, MV6 and 777. The fruit was fermented by wild yeast in small open fermenters prior to maturation in a combination of French and Hungarian oak puncheons and stainless steel.

Garnet red with a pale crimson hue.

Vibrant perfumed varietal Pinot Noir aromas of dark cherry and herbs with balanced smoky oak adding complexity.

A medium bodied Pinot Noir with attractive cherry and plum flavours held within a balanced palate supported by light tannins and a lovely persistence.

We, Justin and Pip Jarrett, have been growing grapes and making cool climate wines in Orange, NSW for over 25 years. Our approach to farming considers all activities and their impact on the environment and wine quality. We believe in a balanced approach to all things, most especially the sustainability of the land and environment on which we all depend, and we have a wholehearted respect for leaving a positive environmental legacy. This sustainable ethos is cultivated into the 170 hectares we now have under vine over three sites of varying elevations. By 2020 all See Saw wine with be organically certified.
