As registration and ownership requirements vary from state to state buyers should familiarise themselves with the registration and transfer requirements of the state in which the vehicle will be registered. As is standard practice the buyer is responsible for state transfer fees, duties etc. that may apply.
In line with our requirements in every state and territory other than New South Wales, vehicles in these states/territorys will be sold unregistered to private buyers. Plates will not be given to the successful buyer and it is their responsibility to obtain an UVP (unregistered vehicle permit) when organising to pick the vehicle up.
If you are a licenced dealer, in some cases the plates may be included, but only if you have an LMCT number. You will need to contact us with the particular vehicle you are interested in. If you are a dealer and would like to be updated on current and future sales, please email anthony.moss@grays.com.au with your name, location and LMCT number.
Invoice totals exceeding $5000 must be paid by direct deposit within 2 days of auction closing. Payment for invoices exceeding $5000 may also be made onsite via bank cheque. Contact accounts@grays.com.au for an exact invoice total. Please note that personal or company cheques will not be accepted. For invoices totalling less than $5000, your credit card will be debited within 2 days of auction closing. To assist in the processing of payments please have funds available. Invoice totals exceeding $5000 will not be split.
GraysOnline are authorised to deduct up to $5000 from the purchasers credit card as a holding deposit on any items sold for over $5000 via our website.

Typically, auctions are over at their posted times. There are some exceptions to this, however, if there are any successful bids on a particular lot within 10 minutes of the close of the online auction (the “Going, Going, Gone! Period), it will be extended until there are no successful bids within the "Refresh Period".
There is no limit to the number of times an online auction can be extended. This makes graysonline work more like a live auction where the bidding doesn’t stop as long as there is still interest in the product, rather than assigning an arbitrary cut-off time. This means it is a good idea to watch the action as the auction nears closing time and to check back often

PAYMENT
Invoice totals exceeding $5000 will not be split and must be paid in full by direct deposit. Direct Deposit needs to be made within two (2) working days of sale closure. Successful bidders will be contacted via email with our bank account details.

PRODUCT WARRANTY
Where applicable, and subject to manufacturers terms and conditions, the balance of new car warranty will apply to these vehicles. No other warranties apply.

NOTE: As with standard auction practice, the vehicles may be inspected and started during inspection but not driven.
While we have endeavoured to provide correct asset details, inspection of the vehicles is highly recommended.
State Roads reports and photographic portfolios are available for potential bidders by emailing matthew.birch@grays.com.au These reports (subject to State Roads terms) list vehicle defects and damage where present. Grays encourage potential purchasers to obtain a copy prior to bidding.Please note descriptions and photos should be taken as a guide only, cars are sold as is.

Pick up can only be made once cleared funds are received. Purchasers cannot pick up until full invoice is paid. Goods will only be released with correct buyer details being provided (Full Buyer name, Sale and Lot number and ID).
Any items remaining uncollected after the nominated collection times will be deemed abandoned and/or may incur a daily storage fee of $50 per day and/or removal fee.
All goods must be signed for on site by the person collecting the items which agrees that all items are in good order and that they have received all of the items in full.
