Lifting Charges & Extended Close Dates

Dear bidder,

As you are aware the closing date for the 9 x CMI Toowoomba Foundry auctions were scheduled for this week.

Due to bidder demand we have extended all auctions by one week as we have taken off all fixed price lifting charges that applied to larger pieces of equipment

Websters Transport (ph: 07 3803 3655 or email sales.websters@westnet.com.au) have supplied indicative hourly and fixed price rates as below. Please note, these rates are indicative only and Websters will deal with each on a case by case approach.

Hourly rate:

7 ton forklift & spotter $285 per hour + gst 20 ton Franna & Dogman $325 per hour + gst 25 ton Franna & Dogman $345 per hour + gst 25 ton Franna & Dogman with double counter weight $365 per hour + gst

Fixed price:

15 ton lift & over $1,100 + gst (minimum 3 hours) 10 – 15 ton lift $1,035 + gst (minimum 3 hours) 10 ton & under with Franna $700 + gst (minimum 2.25 hours) Forklift up to 7 ton $450 + gst (minimum 2 hours)

Websters Transport may be able to assist with other requirements such as transport and decommissioning.

Grays have two x 2 tonne forklifts on site available to load small items at no cost.

Purchasers can supply their own lifting contractor however a ‘Safe Work Method Statement’ will have to be approved by GraysOnline prior to site access.

We apologise for the postponement of the closing date however given the buyer feedback we believe it to be the fairest course of action. The auctions are all live now and you can bid anytime up until they close. We will have another inspection day on Tuesday 11th September between 9am and 3pm.

The electrical articles in this auction have not been proved to be electrically safe. The electrical articles have not been tested by a qualified electrical worker and have not been proved to be

electrically safe. General advice on how to use second-hand electrical power tools and equipment (including electrical leads) safely. General safe use advice for electrical power tools and equipment etc. intended for use with rated voltage of not more than 250V for single phase appliances and 480V for other appliances. This advice is not intended to replace specific manufacturer's information but can be used as a general guide. This advice does not cater for young children or people who are physically weak.

You are urged to: 

  • Use the power tool only for its intended purpose.

The DIY signage attached is in relation to non-prescribed electrical equipment purchased, of which electrical work is required under the Qld Electrical Safety Act 2002 to be performed by a licensed electrical contractor or licensed electrical worker.

  • fixed-wired electrical equipment, such as air conditioners, stoves, ovens, electric hot water systems, ceiling fans, light fittings
  • electrical accessories, such as socket outlets, light switches, electrical cable, wall switches, plugs and cord extension sockets
  • electrical parts, such as electrical motors, switches, solenoids, elements

Asset Condition

  • This is an auction sale. All assets in this sale are sold "As Is".
  • Assets included in this sale may be used, therefore inspection is highly recommended prior to bidding. Some individual items may show signs of excessive wear and in some instances accessories or inclusions may vary from the standard.
  • Photos, descriptions and conditions reports (if any) should be used as a guide only. Bids on assets in this sale should be made based on your own inspection and assessment of the goods.
  • Graysonline do not test auction items. We provide no warranty as to the items working condition or suitability for its intended purpose.

Payment

Invoice totals exceeding $5000 must be paid by direct deposit within 2 days of auction closing. Payment for invoices exceeding $5000 may also be made onsite via bank cheque. For invoices totalling less than $5000, your credit card will be debited within 2 days of auction closing. To assist in the processing of payments please have funds available. Invoice totals exceeding $5000 will not be split.

Online Auction Closing

Typically, auctions are over at their posted times. There are some exceptions to this, however, if there are any successful bids on a particular lot within 10 minutes of the close of the online auction (the "Going, Going, Gone! Period), it will be extended until there are no successful bids within the "Refresh Period".

There is no limit to the number of times an online auction can be extended. This makes graysonline work more like a live auction where the bidding doesn't stop as long as there is still interest in the product, rather than assigning an arbitrary cut-off time. This means it is a good idea to watch the action as the auction nears closing time and to check back often

Pre Loading Preparation

Pre loading preparation time will be available for numerous lots in this sale.

All preload preparation is to be completed by the buyer or their contractor.

All labour, tools & supplies for pre load preparation is to be supplied by the buyer.

Dismantling of the plant is to be completed by professional contactors and a Safe Work Method Statement will need to be completed prior to work commencing.

Pre loading preparation work will include:

  • Parking of Plant
  • Attaching of lifting plates, rollers or lugs
  • Dismantling and packing
  • Palletising and wrapping of any tooling etc. that accompany the machine
  • It will also include any packing of other lots purchased by the buyer in other sales which need to be loaded i.e. tooling

Electrical Disconnection

All Electrical disconnection will be completed by GraysOnline at no extra cost.

Removal Of Plant Information

  • GraysOnline will specify the site requirements for the safe removal of plant from the site. All work carried out on site will be performed in a manner compliant with the relevant State Occupational Health and Safety Legislation. All work undertaken on the site must be performed by suitably qualified and insured persons.
  • Licensing of Tradespersons - All tradespersons must possess the relevant licences to undertake plant disconnection and removal of plant activities. Copies of these licenses will be requested prior to the commencement of work and copies/license details will be retained by GraysOnline
  • Insurances - Copies of Insurances - PI/PL and Workers Compensation will be required to perform work on the site and copies will be retained by GraysOnline.
  • Agreement - before any wok commences the contractor/tradesperson must sign and agree to adhere to GraysOnlines OHS work practices.
  • Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) - the contractor/tradesperson will be required to submit a completed SWMS
  • Work at Heights - All work above 2.0 metres will require the use of certified equipment. This equipment may include safety harnesses and work platforms. All equipment used will be in within the safe test date requirement for such equipment. All work at heights risks will controlled
  • Electrical Equipment- All equipment brought onto site must be considered safe and fit for use and be tested and tagged as required by AS/NZS 3760:2003: In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Electrical Disconnection of Plant - All disconnection of hard wired plant must be performed by a licensed tradesperson
  • Disconnection of Water - All disconnection of water services must be performed by a licensed tradesperson
  • Disconnection of Gas - All disconnection of gas services must be performed by a licensed tradesperson
  • Disconnection of Refrigerant Lines and Removal of Refrigerant Gases - All disconnection of refrigerant lines and removal of gases must be performed by persons possessing a current Refrigerant Handling Licence and have the required authorisations to store/sell refrigerant gases
  • Compressed Air - Compressed air must only be used for the purpose for which it is installed. Under no circumstances should compressed air be used for cleaning yourself down or other people; and never direct high pressure compressed air at other people. In addition to the risk of disturbed material getting into the eyes there is the possibility that air may be injected into the blood stream which can ultimately lead to death. The appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when working with compressed air.

Plant Hazard Reports

GraysOnline advises all buyers that all plant offered for sale at auction may not be fit for use in a workplace. It is the buyers/owners responsibility to ensure that an operational risk assessment is undertaken, prior to use, and the plant be brought to a condition which complies with relevant State Legislation, Regulations and applicable Codes of Practice. GraysOnline will provide:

  • Safety information relating to the condition of the item of plant for sale (Plant Hazard Reports)
  • Clear identification and marking to identify that the plant item is only suitable for scrap or spare parts

Industrial Equipment Safety Warning

GraysOnline warn buyers That All Plant Or Equipment Offered For Sale At This Auction May Not Be Fit For Use In A Workplace and it is the Buyers or Users Responsibility to ensure that it is brought to a state necessary to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and is safe and fit for use in the workplace. Breaches of the Occupational Health and Safety Act carry penalties for people who PURCHASE and OPERATE UNSAFE EQUIPMENT without conducting a thorough safety inspection. Plant MUST be given a safety inspection prior to operation when it is purchased at Auction.

(a) Removal Process

All work carried out by the buyer or his representative in this removal process is to be undertaken by adequately qualified and insured persons. Insurance and trade certificates may be required to be provide. All work practices employed by the buyer or his representative during removals must comply to all regulatory requirements and/or those as required by the vendor.

(b) General Site Access Requirements

Tradespeople eg electricians, plumbers etc will be required to produce relevant licence before commencing work on site

Forklift, crane drivers, riggers etc will be required to produce licence before commencing work on site It is a condition of entry to site that all visitors comply with any directions given by GraysOnline staff or representatives. Work carried out on this site must be done in a manner complaint with all Occupational Health & Safety Legislation All power tools and equipment used on this site must be tested (tagged) safe for use in accordance with S3760 service testing and inspection of electrical equipment GraysOnline will specify, based on the hazards present on the site, the mandatory personal protective equipment required to be worn prior to approval being given for entry to the site. (eg safety footwear, safety eyewear, hard hats etc) The use of certified equipment, harnesses, work platforms etc will be required for any work carried out above 1.8 metres.

(c) Plant Hazard Identification Reports

In accordance with current Occupational Health & Safety regulations, Hazard Identification Reports will be provided for all items meeting the definition of plant. These reports are available for inspection prior to commencement of the Auction. Reports for "high risk profile" items will be available from the Auction premises during the inspection period. Reports for "low risk profile" items (ie household appliances) are viewable at any time upon request.
