Winemakers Choice Wrattonbully Shiraz 2016 (12 x 750mL) SA

Description:

Cool nights and moderate days in Wrattonbully, near Coonawarra, rolled in around mid to late February. The reds benefited significantly from the cool slow ripening period. Leaf condition held well for most of the season with autumnal yellowing of older leaves starting early April and some very cool nights at the start of May finishing leaf drop. The region was blessed to have only received small falls of rain over this period meaning fruit quality has been very sound right to the end.

While not from our own vineyards, the Winemakers Choice range features grapes sourced from our “family” of growers in Australia’s well-known wine regions. Quintessential varieties from Barossa Valley, Langhorne Creek, Clare Valley, Wrattonbully and Coonawarra.

Winery Tasting Notes

Notes Image

This Shiraz is deep black with a deep garnet rim. The bouquet is of dusted chocolate with underlining dark plum characters. The palate is lifted and full bodied which displays its complexity through a long palate graph. The refined and luxurious oak is balanced as is the tannin and acid structure.
