The Clover Hill Brut Rosé is sourced entirely from the Clover Hill vineyard in the Pipers River region of north-east Tasmania, an area becoming acknowledged as the premier location for cool-climate sparkling wine in Australia. A limited release, Clover Hill Brut Rosé is crafted via controlled maceration of pinot noir to extract a soft, pink colour and reveal a highly expressive bouquet of rose petals and red strawberries. A small amount of pinot meunier was blended in prior to bottling to add fragrance and mid-palate weight. Clover Hill Brut Rosé 2010 is crafted according to traditional methods. Fermented in its bottle, this wine is aged on yeast lees for at least 36 months, ensuring the complexity and intensity that is the hallmark of Clover Hill.

The wine displays rich flavours of cherry and biscuit with floral notes . A medium-bodied sparkling wine, with structred red berries and apple characters, it has a superbly balanced length.

Winery Profile

Clover Hill was established in 1986 as a dedicated sparkling wine estate. The Clover Hill vineyard, located in the Pipers River region of north east Tasmania, has ideal climatic conditions and terroir to create Australia’s finest sparkling wine.

Planted solely to traditional sparkling wine varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, considerable variation in the vineyard’s aspect and soil profile adds further complexity to the fruit sourced. Slow ripening conditions enable the grapes to develop a full flavour spectrum, resulting in a sparkling wine of richness, concentration and superb structure.
