Winery Tasting Notes

Sprawling sandy beaches, dense lush bushland and skies that seem to go on forever. It is from these surroundings that a beautiful tapestry of regional vibrancy is woven into our wines. This is Margaret River. This is Echo Beach.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES

2018 was another great vintage in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. Warm days and cool nights provided perfect ripening conditions, which have produced a classic regional wine. The wine was made in a modern style showing less new oak placing more importance on fruit freshness and ripe, natural tannin. Alc 14.5%

TASTING NOTES

Our Cabernet Sauvignon is soft and silky with aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, minty cassis and spice.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Ideal matched with red meats, pasta and cheeses.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

English immigrant Edward Tyrrell established Tyrrell's Wines in 1858 in the lee of the Hunter Valley's Brokenback Range, New South Wales. This land has become recognised as home to some of the Hunter Valley regions finest vineyards, and the basis for development of one of Australia's most successful privately owned wine companies.

Today, Tyrrell's are a truly national wine company, premium vineyards extend from their legendary home in the Hunter Valley to other distinguished grape growing regions of Australia including McLaren Vale in South Australia and Heathcote in Victoria.

Fourth generation family member and Managing Director, Bruce Tyrrell heads this winemaking company that boasts well established, popular and highly recognisable wine brands that are exported to over 30 countries worldwide. His children, the fifth generation of the Tyrrell family, are involved in the family business, illustrating that this iconic Hunter Valley winery will continue to be Australian owned well into the future.

Tyrrell's Wines was awarded Winery Of The Year by James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion Edition 2010.
