Winery Tasting Notes

The 2016 Kangarilla Road Terzetto is an interesting Italian-inspired blend of 45% of Sangiovese, 40% Primitivo and 15% Nebbiolo. Here they are looking to balance the intense varietal and structural characteristics of these three Italian varieties. White and black cherries, rose hip and spicy plums dominate the fruit profile on the palate together with nuances of cardamom combine with rustic fruit tannins which build, culminating in incredible lingering flavours.

Kangarilla Road winery is a partnership between Kevin and Helen O’Brien. While the wines show the generosity of the McLaren Vale region, they also have a unique Kangarilla Road style, the white wines fragrant and aromatic and the reds an elegant expression of their variety. The Kangarilla Road philosophy remains unchanged: “To produce wines that we enjoy drinking – wines that can be enjoyed with or without food and especially with friends.”
