Dense purple-crimson; this is full-bodied, but has convincing shape, texture and balance; there's quality sultry black fruits, oak and tannins, none going over the top, but all contributing, dark chocolate conspicuous by its absence. Aroma/Palate

Aromas of dark chocolate, sweet beetroot with cardamon, star anise, ground spice and white pepper. There are hints of bouquet garni together with plum and blackberry fruits.

Multi layered flavours include blood plums, sweet liquorice, integrated with a firm structural backbone of oak and fruit tannin.

Kangarilla Road winery is a partnership between Kevin and Helen O’Brien. While the wines show the generosity of the McLaren Vale region, they also have a unique Kangarilla Road style, the white wines fragrant and aromatic and the reds an elegant expression of their variety. The Kangarilla Road philosophy remains unchanged: “To produce wines that we enjoy drinking – wines that can be enjoyed with or without food and especially with friends.”
