  • This 18-year-old Single Malt release has been selected from the 2000 vintage, cask no. 970637, which has been judiciously topped with small quantities of Smith’s Single Malts from 1997 and 1998 vintages. The richness of the 2000 vintage, enhanced with the liveliness of the earlier vintages, has resulted in a finely balanced whisky. This bottle is 1 of 142 bottled on 22 May 2019. Enjoy. It is proof that good things come to those who wait. Right from the outset the 2000 vintage showed all the hallmarks of becoming an outstanding whisky. Regular tastings over the years showed a pleasing progression in flavour development, exhibiting great diversity in richness and complexity.
  • A very deep, brooding colour and intense flavour. Barley sugar, stewed fruits and a round, full palate with soft, velvety layers of golden syrup, dried spice and cumquats. This delivers butterscotch and vanillin floral overtones with soft sweet malt and crème caramels. The spirit is bright and lively finishing magnificently long and sweet with maltiness and spice. Big, rich and intense.
