Carrau Juan Carrau Sauvignon Blanc 2017 (12 x 750mL), Rivera, Uruguay.

Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes: White with green tinges, intense on the nose with fruit and slightly herbal bouquet. Tropical and citrus fruit notes are evident in this mature style of this variety, resulting in a pleasant complexity. Dry, lively and crisp on the palate. Ideal to enjoy with spicy seafood, salads or white meats. Serve at 10°C degrees.

Climate: Cool climate influenced by the River Plate and the Atlantic Ocean.

Soil: Clay soils with calcareous presence and medium levels of organic matter.

Yield: 85 hl/Ha.

Harvest Method: Hand picked and transported in small cases of 17 kg.

Vineyard elevation: 300 mts above sea level

Winemaking: The grapes are lightly crushed and cold clarified. The free-run juice is fermented in stainless steel at 13º C with a selected native yeast. The wine is bottled very early to preserve the rich and intense varietal aromas.
