Fresh raspberry, liquorice and black pepper on the nose with vibrant plum, velvet chocolate tannins and creamy vanilla spice nuances from a mix of old and new French/American Oak. The artwork on this bottle was produced by Heather Day, who won the annual Cake Wines Archi-bottle Prize in 2015.

Winery Tasting Notes

AROMA

Ripe raspberry, blackcurrant jube, black liquorice and pepper.

PLALATE

Elegant with supple tannins and beautiful length. Fresh raspberry, savoury aniseed spice and subtle mint. Oak character supports but does not dominate allowing the cooler climate varietal to shine.

REGION NOTES

Diamond Ridge, Spring Hill and Anvers all of which lie in the South of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region. This enjoys warm days and significantly cooler nights - perfect for the development of complex flavours, vibrant colour and elegant tannins in Shiraz, and has the added benefit of a subtle maritime influence adding to the uniqueness of this sub-region within the Adelaide Hills.
