2019 saw a continuation of the warm, dry conditions experienced in 2017 and 2018 which now sees a trifecta of great Hunter Valley vintages. Sourced entirely from a local vineyard in Pokolbin with an average vine age of 35 years.

The wine shows an intensely lifted nose of the hallmark gewürztraminer spice and the palate is well rounded with just a hint of residual sweetness.

Vintage Conditions

The 2017 vintage in the Hunter Valley was one of the best in recent memory and has produced wines of the highest quality. Solid rains in winter and spring meant the vines had constant access to water and the warmer weather in the new year meant all of the fruit was in near perfect condition and ripeness when it was harvested.

Winemaker’s Notes

Sourced entirely from a local vineyard in Pokolbin with an average vine age of 35 years, the grapes were machine picked in the cool of the night before gentle pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then bottled early to maintain freshness and vibrancy.

Tasting Notes

The wine shows an intensely lifted nose of the hallmark gewurztraminer spice and the palate is well rounded with just a hint of residual sweetness. A perfect wine to be paired with Asian style dishes. Serve chilled.
