Winery Tasting Notes

Aroma & Palate

Red fruit spectrum aromatically and bright raspberry, cherry and plums on the palate. Wines typically have a freshness from subtle acidity that is complemented by their linear structure and even tannin backbone. The Southern Valleys tend to produce fuller bodied wines.

Food Match

The supple richness of New Zealand Pinot Noir complements a range of savoury dishes. Try it alongside game birds such as quail, turkey, and duck; with a fillet of New Zealand salmon; or equally with pork, veal, lamb or venison.

‘Offspring’ in Maori, MOMO reflects its heritage as part of the Seresin Estate family - wines grown naturally to express the season and land from which they come.

MOMO wines are made using grapes from Seresin’s three biodynamic vineyards and, for some wines, grapes are also selected from a dedicated grower’s vineyard which is in conversion to organics.

From these roots, MOMO has developed its own identity, embracing traditional winemaking to produce wines which are true to variety and reflect the essence of their fruit characters.
