Aromas of sage, cloves, cedar, tilled black earth and dark chocolate all waltz around a core of dense plum and berry fruit. You get a sense it is leaving something in reserve before the cedar gathers some momentum through the mouth. Winery Tasting Notes

A deep Ruby red hue leads to aromas of glazed cherry and earth notes. The palate is medium bodied but with good concentration of black fruits, savoury tannins and great length. This Reserve Shiraz would benefit from cellaring and we recommend decanting before serving.

The Robert Stein Vineyard and cellar door is located just a short drive from the centre of Mudgee, in the Central West of New South Wales.With a winegrowing family lineage dating back to 1838, the 25 year-old vineyard produces award-winning reds, whites and fortifieds.Jacob Stein has a natural affinity with riesling, having spent several years honing his skills in Europe,though all of his wines show a gentle hand andsubtlety not usually found in Mudgee. Stein winesregularly show cool climate characters – ripeness atlower alcohols – and a great capacity for longevity.
