Expert Reviews

97 points - Ray Jordan Elegant and stylish, with grainy tannins and a touch of leafy oyster shell. Great oak and fruit integration, with a minerally purity. It's a most polished wine showing the increased wild fermentation contribution. Benefits from some old vine material that doesn't make the Cullity. 97/100. Best drinking: Now to 2035.

"perfumed and harmonious' David Prestipino The wine is typified by a finer texture of tannins than the Filius, with smaller berries in the vineyard that gets more access to the seabreeze, allowing better preservation of fruit quality. healthy fruitset, better yields due to dry warm spring conditions at the end of 2015. It's perfumed and harmonious, lighter and elegant than previous vintages with chocolate, cassis notes.

94 points Bob Campbell - The Real Review Strongly varietal red with typical dusty, cedar, cigar box, cassis and spice flavours. Elegant and appealing wine, with a firm structure of ripe tannins that still allow the wine to be appreciated at this early stage. A classy red.

93 Points Gary Walsh - The Wine Front Seems 2016 was a good year for Cabernet Sauvignon in Margaret River. Peppermint chocolate, baking spices, dark fruits, sage. Full-bodied, dark chocolate flavour and grainy tannin, sage, even acidity, fleshy feel, slurry of tannin on a spicy finish of solid length.

'Classic Margaret River cabernet' Gourmet Traveller Wine Deep garnet in colour, this classic Margaret River cabernet shows exciting perfumes of blackcurrant and cranberry jam with hints of rose petal and roasted coffee. The palate is juicy and succulent with a plump core, fine, slow-building tannins and a stone-dry finish with persisting fragrance.
