  • Potential purchasers should make themselves aware of any CASA regulations pertaining to Ex-Military or unregistered aircraft. Flying an unregistered aircraft in Australia is an offence pursuant to section 20AA of the Civil Aviation Act 1988.

Payment - Invoice totals exceeding $5000 must be paid by direct deposit within 2 days of auction closing.

For invoices totalling less than $5000, your credit card will be debited within 2 days of auction closing. To assist in the processing of payments please have funds available. Occupational Health & Safety Asset Removal and Reuse

GraysOnline warn buyers that all plant offered for sale at Auction may not be fit for use in a workplace. It is the buyers/users responsibility to ensure that it is brought to a state necessary to comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and is fit for purpose.

The cost and responsibility for all aspects of asset removal lies with the buyer. All work carried out by the buyer or his/her agent must be in accordance with relevant site and/or industry conditions as well as to the instructions of GraysOnline Auctions and our vendor.

A summary of these types of enforceable requirements is as follows.

  • Persons under the age of 15 years of age will not be permitted on site unless accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times
  • Tradespeople eg electricians, plumbers etc will be required to produce relevant licence before commencing work on site
  • Forklift, crane drivers, riggers etc will be required to produce license before commencing work on site
  • It is a condition of entry to site that all visitors comply with any directions given by GraysOnline staff or representatives
  • Work carried out on this site must be done in a manner compliant with all Occupational Health & Safety legislation
  • All power tools and equipment used on this site must be tested (tagged) safe for use in accordance with AS3760 service testing and inspection of electrical equipment
  • GraysOnline will specify, based on the hazards present on the site, the mandatory personal protective equipment required to be worn prior to approval being given for entry to the site, eg safety footwear, safety eyewear, hard hats etc
  • The use of certified equipment, harnesses, work platforms etc will be required for any work carried out above 1.8 metres
  • Vehicles manufactured prior to 2004 may contain hazardous substances. We recommend all vehicle servicing and repairs are undertaken by suitably qualified technicians.

Online Auction Closing

Typically, auctions are over at their posted times. There are some exceptions to this, however, if there are any successful bids on a particular lot within 10 minutes of the close of the online auction (the “Going, Going, Gone! Period), it will be extended until there are no successful bids within the "Refresh Period".

There is no limit to the number of times an online auction can be extended. This makes graysonline work more like a live auction where the bidding doesn’t stop as long as there is still interest in the product, rather than assigning an arbitrary cut-off time. This means it is a good idea to watch the action as the auction nears closing time and to check back often

  • Note: Helicopters & aircraft must be freighted out of the Airport.
  • Note: There are no lifting or loading facilities onsite. Purchasers must arrange required cranes and transport.
  • Note: Any dismantling or prepartion for transport work undertaken onsite must be peformed by a qualified aviation mechanic / engineer.
